Gerbera Daisies and Daylilies

I really like my Gerbera Daisies. They bloom often and they come back year after year. What more could I ask for, right? Here’s one getting ready to open with a little morning dew still clinging to the petals.

I shot this through two trunks of my Crape Myrtle tree. I like the perspective.

Here’s another one just blooming with a little one right behind it.

This is my newest one – the color just grabbed me. I took this photo with my iPhone before I planted it.

Daylilies are another staple in my garden. They also bloom year after year, but only for a day. This is one of my oldest plants. I think I planted it over 10 years ago!

This one comes in a close second. If I didn’t plant it at the same time, then I did about a year later.

I’ve been working in another part of my yard lately, but it’s starting to get too hot to be outside for too long. What’s going on in your world?
