Harry the Heron

Over the past few years that we’ve gone to Captiva Island, Harry the Heron has been a fixture on the beach. He especially likes it when someone is fishing on the beach – hoping they’ll share, I’m sure! One year when we went back to the beach late in the day Harry was standing on my blanket and under our umbrella!

I have a few more pictures of birds – sanderlings and sand pipers – to share with you later. Then it’s on to tropical skies!
